Measuring Your Turf

A x B 10 x 6 = 60 square metres |
(A x B)/2 (10x6)/2 = 30 square metres |
Irregular shapes
For odd shapes, just average the two sides and multiply which will give you a rough idea or cut the area into triangles for a more accurate measurement.
Measuring for your soil, use your answer for turf required, eg 60 square metres. Then multiply it by the thickness of soil you require (eg 80mm). In the example above, 60 x .08 = 4.8 cubic metres.
